Tour Tipon, Piquillacta and Andahuaylillas

ITINERARY

RaqchiBetween 8:00 to 4:00 p.m. After pick up we will go to the town of Tipon where we have a guided visit; this is an Archaeological Group which belongs to the Inka period in which it could be appreciated an exceptional irrigation system with channels of irrigation, vertical and horizontal over inclined terraces, the water flows from underground to a source in which is distributed through the channels before mentioned. It was an important agricultural production center as well as a religious one.

Afterward we will also visit the archaeological group of Piquillacta. another important place that belongs to a period before the Inkas, that was an administrative center of the Wari empire, outstands on it its streets that make up quadrants, constructions of double floor with stucco walls and paved floors.

Already leaving toward the South of Cusco we arrive in Andahuaylillas, a traditional town in whose main plaza outstands its colonial temple called “The Sixtine Chapel of America” for its beautiful baroque painting on its roof and walls.

As a last place we will visit the largest mud temple of Cusco denominated Raqchi. This is the last place we will visit, we will return to the City of Cusco.
