What is the itinerary of the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu?
Day 01: Wiñaywayna – Machu Picchu
Cusco – Wiñaywayna – Machu picchu Transfer 5:00 a.m. From the hotel to the train station, trip downhill in Km. 104 where the walk begins. Visit of the Archaeological Group of “Chachabamba” (2250 mts.) arriving in approx. 2 1/2 hrs. The archaeological group of “Wiñaywayna” (2650 mts) continues through the semi-tropical forest towards “Intipunku” (the door of the sun) from where we can enjoy the panoramic view of “Machu Picchu”.
Installation in hotel (Aguas Calientes).
Day 02: Machu Picchu – Cusco
Machu picchu – Cusco day devoted to the guided tour of the historic sanctuary of Machu picchu Observe the sunrise, guided tour of 2 1/2 hrs. having free time. In the afternoon return trip to Cusco By train.
