2-Day Bus Tour to Machu Picchu
Day 1 (Cusco – Hydroelectric – Aguas Calientes)
DURATION: all day.
itinerary: After agreement with you we will pick you up from your hotel between 7:30 a.m. and 7:45 a.m. And we will start the tour at 8:00 a.m. Leaving the city of Cusco we go by bus to Ollantaytambo and on the way we will enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the Sacred Valley. Then we will make a short stop of approximately 30 min. and we will continue the journey through a winding ascent heading to the Hague de Málaga located at a height of 4316 m.a.s.l. which is the highest point of the route in which we can see a good view of the Nevado de Verónica. From there we will go down to the high jungle where we will be able to appreciate abundant vegetation and we will arrive at the district of Santa Teresa to taste a delicious lunch. Then we will continue our Trip to Machu Picchu by bus to the hydroelectric plant from where we will start with a walk for approximately 3 hours until we reach the town of Aguas Calientes. There we settled in a hostel with private bathroom and hot water (basic service). In the afternoon it is optional to go to the hot springs. 08:00 p.m. We will enjoy a delicious dinner moment in which a talk will be received by the guide who will be in charge of the guided tour of the citadel of Machupicchu. stay overnight
2-Day Bus Tour to Machu Picchu
Day 2 (Hot Aguas – Machu Picchu – Hydroelectric – Cusco)
DURATION: all day.
itinerary: The trip to Machu Picchu by bus is divided into 2 options on this day to continue from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu, by bus or by walking. They will be given Box Lunch part of the breakfast, and if they take the option of walking the time of departure it is at 4:30am. to be able to walk to Machu Picchu before sunrise. And if they decide to go by bus you can get on the first bus that leaves at 5:30 a.m. at 6:00 a.m.
Arrived in Machu Picchu, we offer a guided tour of the main areas of the sanctuary with a duration of 2 hours. There will be time later to freely explore the citadel of Machu Picchu until 12:00pm. and then return walking or take the bus from Machu Picchu to Aguas Calientes. Continuing with the route from Aguas Calientes to the hydroelectric plant, you can return walking or you can also take the option to return with the 13:30 p.m. train. Heading towards Hidroelectrica where we will take our bus to return to the city of Cusco. We will make a short stop in Santa Teresa so that they can buy some food or lunch and then we continue with our return to Cusco, arriving around 10:30 pm. The point of arrival will be the plaza of rejoicing.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
The tour can vary in some aspects how, for example, where lunches are taken but the tour should not vary except in exceptional circumstances (blocked routes, rainy season etc).
