This tour begins at approximately 8:30 am. Go through your hotel, take a guided tour of Sacred Valley, as the first place we will visit the archaeological park of Chinchero picturesque district for its customs and handicrafts, where are the remains of the royal hacienda of Tupac Inca Yupanqui. Admire its well preserved Inca Wall in the main square and visit the beautiful colonial temple with interesting frescoes on the portico, built on the foundations of an Inca building.
The weather is ideal to visit the archaeological site of Moray was a center for agricultural experimentation of the Incas, where we see concentric terraces, where he developed a great potential for agricultural and medicinal plants. That many of them were accustomed to the Forest region and the coast.
We arrived at the small district town of Maras and the salt mines, where we will observe the Salt Mines, whose holding is so old that the exploit in a craft as it was during the period of Tahuantinsuyo. Villagers indict saline water emanating from the basement to pools in which, by effects of sun, water evaporates, leaving salt on the surface which is then processed for sale in the local market. The light of all the approximately three thousand wells, is spectacular. Following the tour we will have lunch in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. In the afternoon visit the archaeological park of Ollantaytambo, one of the most important places around the valley. We will have the opportunity to walk through the narrow streets and get a clear idea of what this strategic administrative, military, agricultural, religious and cultural life during the Inca Empire.
Return to the city of Cusco between 6:45 p.m. 18:00 pm.
